The 11 million
11 million happens to be the standard number used to estimate how many illegal immigrants are in the United States. Currently, there are several bills being drafted in the US Senate that are supposed to deal with the 11 million in some way. Media Pundits, Hispanic activist groups, liberals, and too many gullible Republicans have claimed that we can't get 11 million people out of this country, that removing them would collapse the US economy, and that pandering to illegals is the only way to gain the “Hispanic Vote”. These are the reasons that some senators want to attach an "amnesty lite" to the House bill that is supposed to boost enforcement along the Mexican Border. Sadly, many conservatives have no response to these accusations by the pro-illegal agenda.
In almost every time immigration is talked about, liberal pundits ask “how do you deport 11 million people”? They appear proud to state that it is impossible to find, arrest, and move 11 million illegals back to their countries. The reason for this arrogant stance to make sure that America never tries. These are same people who said we couldn’t change the USSR, that the welfare system should never be changed, and other wrong predictions. Millions of Americans have demanded that we cut the welfare and go after the businesses that hire illegals. In Arizona, an overwhelming number of citizens voted yes for Proposition 200, including 40% of the Hispanics who care more about America than Mexico. Pro-illegal groups are trying to overturn the will of Arizona citizens in the courts. Proposition 187, voted by 25% of Hispanic in the blue state of California, was overturn by an activist federal judge. It’s pretty clear that a lot of the 11 million need the American taxpayer’s money in order to stay in the USA and that pro-illegal agenda will use the courts to keep the troughs full.
On the website http://www.wehirealiens.com/results.asp, the following companies are listed as hiring illegals in my state; Electrolux, Landsape Specialist, Flying Fish Restaurant, Great Dane Trailers, Jean Petit Poultry, The Country Club of Little Rock, OK Ind., and Shipley’s of Little Rock(where’s a cop when you need one?). Ken Lay is in jail for stealing thousands of dollars from Enron workers. The CEO’s of these companies steal millions from the US taxpayers, threaten American culture by encouraging illegal immigration, and threaten America’s security. Will cutting welfare and shutting down illegal immigrant companies force many illegals back home? The American people demand that their leaders at least try.
“They’re doing the jobs Americans won’t do”. This has been yet another lie repeated by the pro-illegal agenda and their friends in the media. This statement is used to support the idea that if we did enforce immigration laws, several industries would be completely destroyed and the economy as a whole would be damaged. Illegal workers make less than 5 percent of the U.S. labor force. Illegal immigrants are concentrated in construction, agriculture and cleaning jobs. 79 percent of the 23 million workers in service jobs are native-born Americans.81 percent of the 6 million workers in construction jobs are native-born Americans, and 77 percent of the 10 million workers in production jobs are native-born Americans. The US has a capitalist system, not a sweatshop system. When Enron was prosecuted, the energy industry did not collapse nor did we enter a second Great Depression. Other legitimate companies didn’t have to compete with Enron, making their business better. Speaking of large corrupt companies, the Arkansas based company Tyson Foods, one of the companies that funds illegal immigrant groups had a gross profit 1.74 billion dollars as of 31-Dec-05! Tyson’s CEO Mr. John Tyson makes 6.44 million dollars. I’m sure if he tries hard enough, John Tyson could get some Americans to pluck his chickens. Perhaps he can help pay for the 10 billion dollars the federal government pays a year (not including state costs). There were times when changing America’s workforce did affect the economy. When the new Republican Party abolished slavery in 1863, it ended the plantation system that had existed in the South for decades. The Slave Power warned the American people that ending slavery would cause harm to the agricultural industry and the American economy as a whole. The Slave Power was the term used in the Northern United States in the period 1840-1865 to describe the political power of the slaveholding class in the South. Here’s a partial quote about the Slave Power from historian Henry Adams. “Whenever a question arose of extending or protecting slavery, the slaveholders became friends of centralized power, and used that dangerous weapon with a kind of frenzy. Slavery in fact required centralization in order to maintain and protect itself, but it required to control the centralized machine; it needed despotic principles of government, but it needed them exclusively for its own use.” The Civil War and Reconstruction destroyed the Slave Power that had existed since the founding this country. What will the Party of Lincoln do to destroy the Illegal Immigrant Power that exist today?
The 2006 election is only a few months away, and some Republicans want the imfamous “Hispanic” vote to help them win. Pandering to the illegal agenda will never worked for the Republicans and has rarely worked for the democrats. Grey Davis only received 54 % of the Hispanic vote against his recall after he promised to allow illegals drivers’ licenses. Bustamante, Hispanic and former MECHA member, only received 52 % of the Hispanic vote. Both candidates found out that dominating the “Hispanic Vote” is mainly useless due to the fact that they are only 6% of the voting population. Both candidates lost the governor's seat to Arnold Swarzenegger after his opposition to illegal driver’s licenses. Supporters of immigration reform such as Tom Tancredo have won elections all across the country despite being attacked by Hispanic activist groups, liberal foundations, corrupt businesses, the liberal media, and other branches of the illegal agenda. Contrary to pro-illegal propaganda, the Republican Majority in California was lost by the Reagan Amnesty. Consider that between 1952 and 1988, California voted Republican in every election except 1964. Beginning in 1992, which is 2 years before Prop 187; California became a blue state and has not voted for a Republican President since. Besides the significant percent who are opposed to illegal immigration, many Hispanics do care about the rights of the unborn, Christian values, the war on terror, lower taxes, and other conservative issues.
Here’s something you can send to Republicans.

The most important aspect of immigration reform is to secure the border.
The media and the pro-illegal agenda have created the myth that we can’t secure the border unless we do something for the 11 million. All of the bills being proposed in the US Senate only delay the House bill that deals directly with the border problem.
2.
American voters want to remove the 11 million out of this country.
• The recall election of Pro-illegal immigration Governor Grey Davis was won by Arnold Schwarzenegger, who also got 31 percent of the Hispanic vote after opposing SB60 (drivers licenses for illegals) and having Pete Wilson in his camp. Bustamante, the most popular pro-illegal candidate, got only 52 percent of the Hispanic vote and of course lost.
• In Arizona Proposition 200, another law blocking illegals from welfare, passed easily with a 56 percent yes vote, including 40% of the Hispanic vote
• California, a liberal blue state, voted for Prop 187 which would have denied illegals welfare. This resolution was voted for by 25% of hispanics.
• Illegal immigrant groups challenge these propositions in courts because they know that millions of illegals depend on welfare to stay in the US
3.
Forcing illegals out of this country will not destroy the US economy
• Illegals are less than 5% of the workforce, they are not a majority in any industry nor are they “the backbone” of the economy.
• Many of the companies that hire illegals make billions in profits and could easily increase their wages to hire the majority of US workers in their industry.
• The same economic excuse to defend illegal labor was used to successfully defend slavery in the US for decades, resulting in the Civil War.
• The Center for Immigration Studies estimates that illegals cost the federal government $10 billion a year. State and local governments lose even more.
4.
Republicans will not get the “Hispanic Vote” by pandering to the illegal agenda
• Hispanic activist groups are loyal to Mexico first and the socialist agenda second. The National Hispanic Leadership Agenda give democrats over 90% favorable rating. A Conservative has no chance of gaining favor with these groups
• Propositions that cut welfare to illegals are supported by Americans, including many hispanics. Even more support is for securing the borders.
• The way for Conservatives to reach out to hispanics is the same way they reach out to the rest of America, by speaking and voting Conservative.
• The Hispanic Vote is 6% of the voting population
11 million is a joke. The real number is double or triple that.
The number the government doesn't want you to hear.

concern. Our politicians (true to form) will probably not do the right
thing, but... American Christians can do the right thing.

The more we crack down on illegal immigration, the less Mexicans in Mexico will cling to the Leftist frontrunner in this July's presidential elections who is suddenly in a statistical deadheat for the first time with right-leading Felipe Calderon. That Chavez-admiring Leftie had been ahead in the polls literally for years on promises of free money and threats of nationalization and such. Suddenly the immigration pressures have helped lead to a declining peso relative to the dollar, though, and voters (who know how much Mexico desperately needs the USA) are noticing growing U.S. disapproval for how Mexico's government still won't stand up to telecom monopoly magnate Carlos Slim (#3 on Forbes wealthiest list). Let's keep up the constructive pressure so that Mexicans who don't want to have to abandon Mexico can stay there (which most WANT to do anyway, to be with their families where they speak the same language and don't have to wash bathroom floors and pick pesticide-laden vegetables).
Meanwhile, don't we owe it to our American people struggling in Mexico who endure Mexico's shamelessly racist immigration restrictions to keep the pressure up and thereby empower reformers in Mexico in that way, too? Can you believe Mexico's hypocritically anti-gringo immigration laws which Rush Limbaugh now impressively and charismaticaly calls "Limbaugh's Laws" while saying we should try running the USA in a similar way to see what the reaction would be? And the simple fact is, the legal Hispanics are the ones who can vote, except in places like Los Angeles and Chicago, where those who are both illegal and dead still get to vote.
It so happens that the correct side on this issue is also the popular side. That just demonstrates, again, how Senators like Ted Kennedy and John McCain are grossly out of touch with both opinion in their own states, and opinion throughout the United States.
Thank God for the conservative Republicans who have just killed the amnesty bill in the Senate. And thank God for the conservative Republicans in the House, who stood ready to kill this bill if it escaped the Senate.

Personally, I think its over 20 million.
That said, the methodology used is flawed, its also claimed that we have a legal immigrant population of 24 million.
This country is around 300 million in population.
Its pretty obvious the methodology being used is seriously in error and flawed.
The way illegals are measured is bad, really bad and inaccurate.
I just wish Tom Tancredo and others would point this out instead of using the false number and letting the media portray him as a nut.
We have a guest worker program. It may need to be reformed. But illegal aliens are those who have not applied to be guest workers. There are 11 million of them. The only thing needing reform concerning illegal aliens is to enforce the existing laws respecting their presence and their employment here.
Border security is the number one problem in this debate. The flood of illegal aliens is a major factor in relation to our lack of border security but it is only one factor. There is also a matter of national security in a time of war and in an age when terrorists have set their sights on inflicting mass destruction on our society.
After the issues of border security and millions of illegal foreign nationals on our soil the matter of guest workers is very small. Until the first two problems are thoroughly and firmly addressed the guest worker issue should not even be discussed.
The President and the Senate need to get that message with unambiguous resolve.
It cannot be said often enough - these mass demonstrations are all denouncing Bush and his party.
Bush is importing the next 95% Democrat voting bloc, and his illegals in the streets are pissing on his head.
Go figure.

Immigration and a guest worker program are separate issues from the above.
11 million is a mythical number any that hear it(the number) should either laugh or get very mad.. for they are being played for an IDIOT.. Obliviously the number is low and is "spin"..
If THAT is accepted THEN.. the "illegal threat" takes on another character.. for it is being spun LOW to allow it to get BIGGER.. and BIGGER.. Which requires you to think.
WHAT is it that I will do about it?.. Unless you are a democrat then you should be happy about it.. For most all illegals are proto type democrats with a few RINOs in the mix..
However, part of the message still needs to be respect for our laws.
Our nation has a right and an obligation to limit immigration, and I believe that these people must be forced to return to their home countries.
If they then choose to try to return to our country legally and they fall within our limited needs for immigration, I would welcome them back.
If not, then they can use what they learn to try and improve life in their native country.
